ABOUT THE SHOW

Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out how to get out of this predicament.

Danielle Scheller (Mrs. Pinkerton) grew up in Texas and has studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy as well as The Acting Studio in New York City. Taylor Feldman (Alison/Dr. Wink) is thrilled to be returning to Pinkalicious The Musical!! She recently graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Favorite credits include Red:A New Musical at NY Summerfest, Lady Parts at The Davenport Theatre, Velma (West Side Story), and Fritzie (Cabaret). Madeline de la Parra (Pinkalicious Pinkerton) is thrilled to be returnt to Vital Theatre Company's Pinkalicious The Musical. She graduated from Muhlenberg College in May, and most recently was seen in Beauty and the Beast at Summer Theatre of New Canaan. Other recent theatre credits include The Threepenny Opera, the world premiere of Freedom to Fly: The Story of Harriet Quimby,Spamalot, and Footloose. Francesca Endres (Production Stage Manager) is an NYC based performer and stage manager. Michael Schloegl (Director/Choreographer) is one of the founding members of Vital Theatre Company. His original show, Three Bears and A Babe, started the first Vital childrens theatre season. He works regionally and internationally as a director-choreographer (Chicago, Footloose, Grease, Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia!, Nunsense 2) Michael is also a costume designer, playwright, and a childrens book author/illustrator. His original writing credits include: Its Up In the Air!, Calling All Toys, The Chrismouse Story and the school musical touring show, History Time Henry. He has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe in shows such as: West Side Story, Oklahoma, The Will Rogers Follies, and A Chorus Line. As a theatre educator, he directs musical theatre shows and master classes for students throughout the New York tri state area and Canada.

Victoria Kann (Co-Author/Illustrator/Musical Co-Book and Co-) cowrote Pinkalicious: The Musical, which premiered in New York City to sold-out audiences and continues to be performed across the country. Victoria is the co-executive producer of the TV show, Pinkalicious & Peterrific on PBS Kids. She is the author-artist of Rubylicious, Peterrific and four #1 New York Times bestselling books: Aqualicious, Emeraldalicious, Silverlicious, and Goldilicious as well as over 80 additional titles in the Alicious book series. Victoria is the artist and coauthor of the New York Times bestsellers Pinkalicious and Purplicious.Victoria attended and taught at The Rhode Island School of Design where she is on the Illustration Department School Advisory Committee. Teresa K. Pond (Original Director) holds a BFA in Communications from Chapman University and an MFA in Directing from University of California Irvines prestigious Claire Trevor School of Arts, Teresa has directed professionally Off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. She has worked with New York Classical Theatre, Vital Theatre Company, and the NY Fringe Festival and also previously served as the Executive Director of Anchorage Community Theatre. She has served on arts councils, development groups and other committee associations locally in Anchorage she has collaborated on and off stage with organizations such as Perseverance Theatre, ACT, ATY, Alaska Native Heritage Center, Alaska Dance Theatre, UAA Department of Theatre, Out North Theatre, and worked with several nonprofit and charitable groups in a variety of roles.

Suzu McConnell-Wood (Original Director) is a theatre artist and educator. Currently she is the Elementary Theatre Teacher at Achievement First Iluminar. Prior to Iluminar she taught at the IDEAL School of Manhattan teaching music, theatre and social justice curriculum to grades K-12. She was the Program Director at Kids Creative managing afterschool and summer camp programs. Suzu has over 10 years of experience as a theatre teaching artist in urban NYC classrooms. Her teaching artist experience includes the Broadway show Allegiance with Inspire Change, The Creative Arts Team, Epic Theatre, Border Crossers and Capacity Arts. She has presented theatre based workshops at the AATE National Conference and AATE NY Theatre in Our Schools conference, NYC Arts Education Face to Face Conference, and Facing Race. As the Director of Vital Childrens Theatre, she directed the original Pinkalicious the Musical and The Bully. She is an actor with Living Voices touring multi-media one-woman shows to schools and communities, as well as an ensemble member with Honest Accomplice Theatre and The Forum Project. She holds a Masters in Applied Theatre and earned a Bachelors Degree in Drama and Arts Education. Suzu is passionate about theatre for social change and she continues to create theatre with, for and by community groups on issues such as gender and sexuality, racial injustice, bullying and the environment.

Elizabeth Kann (Book & Lyrics) Elizabeth Kann is a doctor who has yet to see an actual case of Pinkititis. She co-authored the text of Pinkalicious, Pinkalicious The Musical and Purplicious with her sister, Victoria Kann. Her writing has appeared in a variety of newspaper and print publications.She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, who is also a doctor, and their three children. http://elizabethkann.com/

John Gregor (Music & Lyrics) John Gregor is the recipient of a Frederick Loewe Reading for his musical WITH GLEE, for which he wrote the book, music and lyrics. WITH GLEE opened Off-Broadway in 2010 to sold out audiences and rave reviews.He is also composer and lyricist of PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL, based on the book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, now in its seventh year Off-Broadway and produced from London to San Diego. His musical adaptation of Gogols tragicomic short story THE OVERCOAT has been presented in London at the Bridewell Theatre, Barrington Stage Company and The New York International Fringe Festival.
